If you are a student at UPC

Are you ready to innovate with AI?

Present your innovative idea that uses artificial intelligence to improve an aspect of your field of study.

Do you want to win the award for the best project in your school and at UPC?

Do you want to showcase your innovative project?

Submit your Final Year Project or create a new project, either individually or as a group.

Rules

Can you participate individually or as a group?

Yes, individual or group projects of up to 3 students can be submitted.

If I participate individually, what do I need to submit?

If you participate individually, you can submit your Final Year Project (FYP) as your project. The TFE document will be sufficient as the documentation.

What happens if I want to participate in a group?

Group projects can have up to 3 students. You can team up with students from other ICT undergraduate or master's programs to assist with the artificial intelligence (AI) part.

What techniques should be used for the project?

The projects must use artificial intelligence (AI) techniques for their development.

Does the project need to be functional?

Yes, the projects must be implemented and functional in order to participate in the competition.

How can I sign up for the competition?

The registration must be done through the form on this website before the specified deadline.

What happens if you don’t have a team?

Contact us and we’ll help you find it!

Can the same project be submitted more than once?

No, participants and projects can only be submitted once to the competition.

What is the deadline for submitting the projects?

The deadline for submitting projects is 15th June 2025.

Can I participate if I am not enrolled at UPC?

Yes, in group projects, one of the members can be a student from another university. The group representative must be enrolled at UPC.

Who will evaluate the projects?

The projects will be evaluated by a jury consisting of professors and external individuals from the company.

What prizes are offered?

– Prize for the best projects from each Educational Institution
– Prize for the best overall projects from UPC

What prizes are offered at the level of each Educational Institution?

Els premis a nivell de cada Centre Docent són els següents:

– Premi al millor projecte individual de cada Centre Docent, amb una dotació de 500€.

– Premi al millor projecte col·laboratiu de cada Centre Docent, amb una dotació de 500€.

Quins premis s’ofereixen a nivell global de la UPC?

Els guanyadors dels premis a nivell de cada Centre Docent passaran automàticament a optar als següents premis globals UPC:

– Premi al millor projecte individual global de la UPC, amb una dotació de 1.500€ addicionals.

– Premi al segon millor projecte individual global de la UPC, amb una dotació de 500€ addicionals.

– Premi al millor projecte col·laboratiu global de la UPC, amb una dotació de 3.000€ addicionals.

– Premi al segon millor projecte col·laboratiu global de la UPC, amb una dotació de 1.500€ addicionals.

– Accés directe al programa d’incubació de projectes de base tecnològica EMPRÈN UPC.

How are the prizes distributed in the case of group projects?

The prize will be awarded to the group representative, who will be responsible for distributing the prize among the team members.
